Removalists Cobaki Lakes

Cobaki Lakes is the border suburb between New South Wales and Queensland. Its northern and eastern borders follow the border of the two states. The Woodlands Lakeside Golf Course takes up most of the suburb with no residential options available.

The closest residential options to Cobaki Lakes include Cobaki, Piggabean and Tweed Heads on the New South Wales side of the border and Currumbin Waters and Currumbin Valley on the Queensland side of the border.

There is some planning underway to develop the Cobaki Lakes and Cobaki areas over the next 25 years. Some of this development may include a mixed use residential and commercial development; up to 17 residential precincts with mixed housing types potentially increasing the population by 10,000 – 12,000 people; a mixed use town centre and neighbourhood centre which could include retail, commercial and community uses; two public primary schools; and a large amount of open space and environmental protection areas.

The surrounding suburbs of Cobaki and Piggabean are quite family friendly with families of all ages making up a relatively large amount of the population. Average property prices in the area sit at the $748,500 mark and with so few properties hitting the sale market each year, both of these suburbs are in quite high demand.

One of the great things about living in this area is the closeness to the major centres of Tweed Headsand Coolangatta (10km) as well as being close to other beachside suburbs such as Fingal Head, Tugun, Currumbin and Bilinga.

While residential properties aren’t available in Cobaki Lakes at this stage, there is potential that down the line there will be opportunities to purchase new housing in the area. For now, the surrounding areas of Cobaki and Piggabean are perfect for anyone wanting to enjoy the lifestyle of northern New South Wales and the work opportunities in Queensland.
