Cedar Creek is a Gold Coast suburb based on the eastern side of Tamborine Mountain, approximately 20km southwest of Ormeau. The suburb was once popular with timber cutters and their families who first moved into the area to cut the red cedar, beech and hoop pine trees on the mountain sides. A sawmill was also established in the area near where Cedar Creek joins the Albert River.

Cedar Creek is a popular area, and being a semi-rural suburb attracts an average sale price of $500,200. The suburb offers the benefits of living both on large properties while still being quite close to the facilities and recreation options the Gold Coast has to offer.
