Removalists Cedar Creek

Cedar Creek is a Gold Coast suburb based on the eastern side of Tamborine Mountain, approximately 20km southwest of Ormeau. The suburb was once popular with timber cutters and their families who first moved into the area to cut the red cedar, beech and hoop pine trees on the mountain sides. A sawmill was also established in the area near where Cedar Creek joins the Albert River.

Cedar Creek is a popular area, and being a semi-rural suburb attracts an average sale price of $500,200. The suburb offers the benefits of living both on large properties while still being quite close to the facilities and recreation options the Gold Coast has to offer. For weekends and holidays, it is approximately 30 minutes to the theme parks and 40 minutes to the water; schools are located in the suburb (one primary school) and in the nearby suburbs (primary and secondary, both private and state); sporting opportunities; shopping centres; restaurants and cafes; and the marina.

If you love getting out and discovering National Parks, Cedar Creek is a great option. Part of the Tamborine National Park falls within the suburb with access via Tamborine Mountain Road. Along the way is Thunderbird Park which is always worth checking out. The Cedar Creek section of the park includes a lookout and rock pools. These are only short walks but do make for a good day out.

At less than half an hour to the village of Tamborine Mountain you will certainly find enough to do to keep you and visitors busy. The village boasts restaurants, cafes, art galleries, breweries, cheese makers, markets, shopping, gardens, tours and cooking schools.

Cedar Creek is a great suburb for those who are after somewhere a little away from the coastal areas of the Gold Coast but still within reach of everything you could possibly need.
