Calamvale is a suburb on the southern side of Brisbane, located 20km south of the city, and only a short drive from both the Gateway Motorway and the Logan Motorway. It is one of the most populated Brisbane suburbs and is also a fairly multi-cultural suburb with residents coming from Australia, China, New Zealand, Taiwan, India and Hong Kong. The suburb was originally names after James Calam who was one of the first land owners and settlers.
