Removalists Pyrmont

As one of Australia’s most densely populated suburbs Pyrmont was once an important part of Sydney’s industrial and shipping industries. Following an almost abandonment of the suburb after World War II, Pyrmont has seen some major development and rejuvenation in the last 25 years. It is quite a multicultural suburb and is only 2km from Sydney’s CBD, so there is no need to worry about transport to the city!

Because of its inner city locations, you may find it hard to find a house suitable for a larger family (more than four people). With house sales rare, you can expect to pay an average of $981,000. For a rental, a three bedroom house rents at an average of $1,150 per week. Units are a little easier to come by. A three bedroom unit has an average purchase price of $1,580,000 while a three bedroom unit rents for an average of $1,320 per week.

Due to its location, schools will be difficult to find without travelling outside of the suburb, however the Australian Catholic University, the University of Technology Sydney, the University of NSW and Sydney Law School all lay within walking or public transport distance of the suburb. Sporting facilities will also be difficult to find and will require travelling outside of the city.

Pyrmont is also extremely close to the Darling Harbour precinct, and with its entertainment, restaurants, clubs and pubs you’re never going to be short of something to do.

Pyrmont is a suburb for those with enough disposable income to cover accommodation costs, but if you are in that category than you will be surrounded by parks, water views, and a busy yet enjoyable hub.
