Located 32km southwest of the Sydney CBD is Liverpool, one of the oldest urban settlements in Australia. The area named after then Secretary of State for the Colonies, Robert Banks Jenkinson, is bounded by Ashcroft to the north, Wattle Grove to the south, Moorebank to the east and Lurnea to the west.

While Sydney is inarguably the biggest CBD in the state, Liverpool is fast becoming a major CBD in its own right. Since the urban sprawl of the 1950s, the suburb has seen tremendous growth year after year turning the once agricultural town into a major business area. A large business area can be found on the southern end of the suburb which is home to some of the biggest corporate entities in the state.

Cafes, restaurants, boutiques, takeaway shops and other commercial facilities line up Macquarie Street. Westfield Liverpool Shopping Centre, a large shopping centre that contains a theatre and major retail outlets can also be found in the area.

Residents can conveniently access everything they need with an almost complete public infrastructure such as hospitals, fire and police stations, and schools (both private and public) located just minutes away. Liverpool also boasts to housing the largest lending library in the entirety of the Commonwealth.

In spite of the density of commercial developments, the area still offers a number of parks and recreational facilities that the family can enjoy. Bigge Park on the eastern flank of the suburb features bike and walkways, picnic and exercise areas as well as a war memorial. Woodward Park on the other hand contains a number of outdoor playing fields, a swimming pool and an indoor sports stadium. Fairfield-Liverpool Cricket Club of Sydney Grade Cricket and the FC Bossy Liverpool of the New South Wales Super League are among the prominent sports clubs that host their home games in Whitlam Leisure Centre in Woodward Park.

A melting pot where different cultures live next to each other, Liverpool is the epitome of multiculturalism in Sydney. Come and sample Liverpool life for yourself!
