The area has had a lot of residential and commercial development happening in recent years with new residential areas being built as well as a new town centre. The suburb is predicted to house 2000 residents and 1800 workers once completed.

Despite being a planned community, there are no schools in the suburb as yet, however, the closest schools are all within a 10km drive. There are a number of walking trails in these two parks including the Wungong Gorge walk which is a 17km round trip for those a bit more adventurous. Visitors to Bungendore Park may be lucky enough to spot the rare Red Tailed Black Cockatoos which live in the area.
