30km southwest of Brisbane you will find the suburb of Bellbird Park. Dotted with parks and green space, you could almost forget you are living in the suburbs. Despite its closeness to the city, Bellbird Park is part of the Ipswich City Council, and is less than 15km to the city centre. Being between the two cities makes for fairly good options in public transport – a train station is approximately 6 kms away allowing you to go to either Brisbane or Ipswich and there are also some bus options.

Housing prices are quite good, with the suburb a little below the average demand for Queensland. There is still some development of housing going on, so Bellbird Park might be a good place to look at if you are after a brand-new home. Facility-wise there is a shopping centre in Springfield Lakes and a library close by in Redbank. Other facilities close by include a golf course, dragon boat club, martial arts, gyms, dance groups, yoga classes and art galleries. The local council provide free kids activities through school holidays, an art festival, and walking events as well as providing free trees to local residents each year to plant around the house.
